Robotics Summer Camp, 5-9 August 2024

MI Robotics hosted its first annual summer camp for future robotics enthusiasts! Approximately 15 middle-schoolers joined us for a week-long competition exercise of designing, building, and controlling their robots in a competition exercise that was fun for everyone! In today's rapidly evolving world, skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity are indispensable. Our camp is designed to foster these essential skills, ensuring students are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

I ultimately got into robotics because for me, it was the best way to study intelligence. ~ Sebastian Thrun

Additionally, our camp sparks a passion for STEM, blending education with enthusiasm. It proved to be both inspirational and impactful, fostering a community of curious and dedicated learners.

And finally, our instructors are more than teachers; they're mentors from competition team coaches and robotics enthusiasts with extensive experience in building robots. Deeply passionate about education, they offer personalized support, ensuring each camper learns in a nurturing and engaging setting, helping every participant reach their highest potential.

Leap for Green Earth Day Fair, 20 April 2024

Mercer Island celebrates Earth Day annually by promoting environmental practices and activities to raise general awareness of local sustainability resources. MI Robotics recycled our shipping materials into handmade seedpaper to promote biodiversity and engineered a way to turn cardboard into seed starters. Our robotics team handed these out during the fair and demonstrated the process.
